         The issue as with bug 554569 is that the screen is not being properly cut on by the i915 driver. So the backlight is on..but no graphics are coming to the screen at all.

         We have seen this issue with other displays as well in the past
with the i915 driver. This may just need a tweak to the same fix to
handle these displays also.
