Mathieu's patch fixes the error message in most scenarios:
- Ejecting device from palimsest without locking
- Pulling out device without warning the OS (unsafe)
- Suspend, Resume

However I found that it did not work for me in the following scenario (received same error):
- Suspend, Pull Out, Resume
