Re: [Bug 560703] Re: package yiff-server 2.14.5-5.1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1

I'm still a newbie to command-line stuff, though I took a couple of
programming classes in Java about 8 years ago. That said, I wasn't that
good, and I'm very rusty now. I'm having trouble getting a clear picture of
the patching process, especially with the cognitive dysfunction ("brain
fog") I'm experiencing due to chronic pain. Could someone give me a fairly
detailed how-to as to the steps I need to take to apply this patch? I get
that the patch is changing one line with a flag, but the steps to get from a
to b, like where to put the diff and how to apply the patch, are one big
muddle.

Sorry I'm having to ask--I've always been of the RTFM school myself, but
it's not working for me this week. :p I've been trying to wrap my head
around this for 3 days, and I'm so frustrated and disgusted with my the
effects my illness is having that it's not funny. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.
