I think the following patch should fix the issues noted here:

The patch should be in the 2.6.37-rc1. The kernel will be packaged and
published soon to:

http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/

If you can, please test the kernel to see if it fixes the issues. Note
that -rc1 kernels are similar to beta releases of most software, so
don't be too alarmed if it doesn't even boot :).
