Psy: How's the situation in Maverick? Any different?

You probably don't have xscreensaver running, so whatever you changed
for the X screensaver settings, it must have affected something else.
Can you ensure you don't have it running with "ps -ef | grep
screensaver"? Also, please post the exact commands you used to configure
the X screensaver as well as "xset q" output before and after.
