This is a function of the GNOME directory chooser.  Because we're asking
only for a directory to import from (not specific files), the directory
chooser grays out the files.

This is from Exiv2, the metadata library Shotwell and gexiv2 rely on.
It has nothing to do with filesystem directories but an abstraction
internal to Exiv2.
