i have the same problem. If i start shotwell with SHOTWELL_LOG=1 i get
"Error: Offset of directory Sony, entry 0x2001 is out of bounds: Offset
= 0x00258067; truncating the entry" some files are corrupt on the SD
Card from which i am importing!! Maybe this also effects it. But it
crashes in gexiv2_metadata_get_orientation aswell.
