Message #29316
[Bug 633433] Re: Cant read whole sentence even though its short
** Also affects: gnome-session (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
** Description changed:
+ /usr/bin/gnome-session-properties (System->Preferences->Startup
+ Applications)
+
+ G-s-p starts up with small window (450x375 pixels) in the centre of the
+ screen. This results in a number of textual descriptions in the main
+ list box being cut off short and hidden by other widgets, even when when
+ there is plenty of available room on the display.
+
+ Ideally g-s-p should start up at a larger size, allowing the user a
+ better view of the control panel options and their descriptions.
+
+ Original report:
+
When displaying options about which programs should start with Ubuntu, a
sentence describing each option is shown. Or, parts of a sentence, that
is. The rest is hidden. This is without reason. A monitor is plenty big
- to show the whole sentence, and the window is therefor unnecessarily
+ to show the whole sentence, and the window is therefore unnecessarily
small. See attached picture.
I'm using ubuntu 10.04
** Summary changed:
- Cant read whole sentence even though its short
+ Gnome-session-properties loads with too small a default window
