I don't see it as bug, but as there has been a similar request earlier
to be able to use a kind of template when importing supported (but not
native) file types (allowing to set initial zoom level, window size,
snap settings... i.e. whatever settings are stored within an Inkscape
SVG file), I assume it is a valid feature request (but unclear to me if
it could be implemented using the current template system).

Maybe we could link it as duplicate to bug #333953 or at least add a
comment there?
