The fix works, the live dvd will boot to the desktop and so far
everything works. It boot to Unity by default (opening other question).

  0.3.0a1 refused to boot beyond splash screen

Bug description:
  Could be my abilities coming through (or lack of??), but after 2 runs
  on a fresh Lubuntu 11.10 install, I was unable to boot beyond the
  splash screen.  My first run was with a slightly modified
  relinux.conf, changing usernames.  Second time was unmodified, still
  no go.  With 0.2.1b1 I was able create an ISO with an unmodified
  relinux.conf file, also on Lubuntu 11.10.
