This is not actually a bug. What you have to do, to install those
modules....

You have to install both new modules from the repository not just pdf related:
1. uninstall the obsolete version of "report_openoffice" module;
2. delete all the files related to "report_openoffice" from modules directory. If you use ziped version of module delete the "report_openoffice.zip" file, otherwise, delete "report_openoffice" directory.;
3. install the new version of "report_openoffice" module;
4. install the new "report_openoffice_pdf" module;

Now it should be OK.
