Thanks Roman, that's nice to know.

What I am unhappy with is the current state of intel graphics card
support in ubuntu. There has been a big performance regression in Jaunty:

I have turned off compiz because of this, but even scrolling in firefox
is slow!..

Before I try out some hacks to fix this, I am going to wait for karmic
and see if it makes me happy again... only a few days left!..
