John,
I've made the domain part configurable in savanna.conf. In
nova-network it is also set as a config parameter 'dhcp_domain' and
is not exposed via API. So we can't automatically discover it and
need to rely on user to properly set it.
Thanks,
Dmitry

Looking at the change, it looks like 'novalocal' is hard coded as
the domain name.
If that is the case, I don't think it is very useful since the
whole point is to determine what the domain name name is for the
current env.

Hi John,
here is a change request for ensuring fqdn is available at
cluster's nodes - https://review.openstack.org/#/c/32897/
We are welcome for the comments to it.
Dmitry will send more details when CR will be merged into the
repo.

Hi,
Will the FQDN be available in the cluster object for each
vm? It is important that the domain be provided to the
hadoop plugin in addition to the host name. In the
instance object I don't see a domain field so I assume
that the id field would be in the form host.domain such
as myhost.novalocal.
