Lumiereare the files I sent of any
use?19:20<http://schooltool.pov.lt/irclogs/latest.log.html#t2009-03-26T19:20:31>
ignasnot sure yet, had to start working on intrepid
release19:27<http://schooltool.pov.lt/irclogs/latest.log.html#t2009-03-26T19:27:09>
ignasand my colleague went home
early19:27<http://schooltool.pov.lt/irclogs/latest.log.html#t2009-03-26T19:27:17>
ignasso did not look at it much
yet19:27<http://schooltool.pov.lt/irclogs/latest.log.html#t2009-03-26T19:27:31>

this is so going to cause us
pain19:27<http://schooltool.pov.lt/irclogs/latest.log.html#t2009-03-26T19:27:52>
ignasat the moment our "releasing" infrastructure is running on
schooltool.org19:28<http://schooltool.pov.lt/irclogs/latest.log.html#t2009-03-26T19:28:12>
ignaswhich is gutsy19:28<http://schooltool.pov.lt/irclogs/latest.log.html#t2009-03-26T19:28:16>
ignasso we are releasing to gutsy, and then forward-porting to
jaunty19:28<http://schooltool.pov.lt/irclogs/latest.log.html#t2009-03-26T19:28:29>
ignasand suddenly packages that work for jaunty will not be suitable for
intrepid, not even talking about
gutsy19:28<http://schooltool.pov.lt/irclogs/latest.log.html#t2009-03-26T19:28:49>
ignasso backporting will be a
pain19:29<http://schooltool.pov.lt/irclogs/latest.log.html#t2009-03-26T19:29:04>
ignasforwardporting -

ignasand having release infrastructure using gutsy is making it even more
insane19:29<http://schooltool.pov.lt/irclogs/latest.log.html#t2009-03-26T19:29:27>
ignasmenesis is setting up a cowbuilder so we could build locally without
the PPA delay and test
everything19:30<http://schooltool.pov.lt/irclogs/latest.log.html#t2009-03-26T19:30:19>
ignasbut I really don't know what will have to be done with future
packaging/releases19:30<http://schooltool.pov.lt/irclogs/latest.log.html#t2009-03-26T19:30:44>
ignasand must run home
now19:30<http://schooltool.pov.lt/irclogs/latest.log.html#t2009-03-26T19:30:55>

So... how insane is this going to be? Will be so insane that we should
consider dropping support for pre-Jaunty releases? I'm not saying I want to
do that, but should we even consider it?
2.6 will probably be with us for a long time, as I imagine everyone will
want to pause to transition from 2.6 to 3.0 rather than race into releasing
2.7 and 3.1, etc. I guess this will be discussed at PyCon.
