By the way, we do have an .rpm (red hat package manager) version of Scratch as well. You can find it here:

I'm not sure, but it looks like Suse uses .rpm pacakges? If you'd like to try installing the .rpm package, please let us know how it goes. One of our Team members will be making some updates to the Scratch .rpm soon, and if it is easy to add support for Suse Linux we'd like to do it!
