how do you run the video? In browser or in application such as movie player/kaffine etc? I might give a try and see if I can reproduce it.
Please also mention the version of screenlets and DigiClock you are using.

For any/all performance issues,  please understand that without specific
details on memory/cpu hog, it is really difficult to convincingly
recreate the issue.
