Please provide some more details as well as wall as check if the problem
appears on latest Screenlets from PPA. I remember that widget layer
worked for me (though I didn't like the idea), but it needed some
configuration of Compiz. There are good instructions found on Compiz
plugins page and elsewhere on the Internet.
