Since I do not have a Linux locally available, I can only guess:

--- when running on 10.04 you get these messages at startup:
Sikuli vision engine loaded.
Text Recgonizer inited.
Mac OS X utilities loaded.
VDictProxy loaded.

--- since these are not coming at all, I suppose, that the problems are
with screen related stuff (may be openCV).

If you do not have any chance (some module call trace), to identify the
module, that is reporting the error, I have no idea.
