RaiMan proposed the following answer:
It is not really Python, that you are using. It is the Python language,
that is run through the interpreter Jython 2.5.1 (but Jython 2.5.2 rc3
might be used also).

So it depends on what features of Python language level 3.x are already
supported by Jython 2.5.1 / 2,5,2.

Seems, that even not yet full compatibility to Python 2.6 is reached now
(planned for Jython 2.6)
