I do not think, that the developers have time to do that. And at what
level do you expect the explanations?
There are a few people around, that seemed to have understood, what
happens inside. But I have not seen them in this forum since some
months.
If you really want to understand what happens, looking from the Java
level should not be such complex, for someone who can read code and make
some tests based on the source. I think this should be the approach
having the most promise.
Another possibility is to look here: https://github.com/doubleshow/libsikuli
There Tom (one of the developers) has started a totally C++ Sikuli-version (but last activity January 4th) that is planned as a native API to be used in different languages.
