A change of the keyboard combination used to abort a running script would probably fix this.
Then the locale on the local machine would not be changed when aborting a script, and maybe not in the sikuli IDE aswell.

Bug description:
  I am runing Sikuli X 1.0 rc2 on 32-bit windows xp - service pack 3.

  When using the hotkey for stop a running script ALT+Shift+C the
  character set is changed from current swedish to english. Note that it
  is only inside the Sikuli IDE the set is changed.

  If restarting the Sikuli IDE the character set is back to normal.
