The API has changed a little bit, since the dialog feature has been replaced by the possibility to prepare steps, that the user can click through with Next/Previous/Close. The button() is still there.
Principally it is the same, but the usage and the parameters may differ a little.
And some really nice features have been added.

But I admit, that it might be too complicated, to read the possibilities
from the source of guide.py.

So I will make a guide version based on revision number 616, that seems
to contain the API that is referenced in the docs and upload it.
