Re: [Question #214804]: Calling apps/processes in WinXP 32
Question #214804 on Sikuli changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/sikuli/+question/214804
Status: Open => Answered
RaiMan proposed the following answer:
--- Jython commands
... is only usable on unix-like systems, that Windows definitely is not ;-)
--- use os.popen()
... and either pack your commands in a cmd-file that you call using os.popen
os.popen("mycommand.cmd")
or use the start command (which has some neat options but might need some more escaping)
os.popen("start /D path ....")
--- or use subprocess
with Jython 2.5.2+ (Sikuli rc3-r930). there are some problems with path specs in 2.5.1.
This has some more options to detach the process and build the command that is finally issued.
(see Jython docs)
