Lorien gave more information on the question:
The error happens when I'm running the script in the IDE and the error
shows up at the line where I try to hover (i.e. the second line shown
here). There is some code in between these two lines, but none of it
involves the mouse. Any ideas? If my code is really wrong, I don't
understand why this would only happen periodically.

blackbox=Region(524,786,371,45)
hover(blackbox)

Error: java.lang.NullPointerException: java.lang.NullPointerException
