That is even worse, since pixels are pixels. The more background is contained around the key visual aspects of your shot (the aspects, that makes it being different from other areas on the screen), the higher the risk of false positives and the lower the match score.
The search is only based on a statistical comparison of the image pixels against all possible areas and their pixels on the screen having the same size.
