This is the "same" as my solution above.

observe:onChange() does nothing else than to compare the old and new
content of the respective region every 0.x seconds.

The only difference: you might specify a minimum area, that should
change, to say it changed.

But its up to you: give it a try and see wether it has any advantage for
you. The docs will help.
