RaiMan proposed the following answer:
On Windows, you are advised to run runSetup.cmd in the working folder (C:\SikuliX in your case).
Did you do that?

If you did that, then you either selected option 1 (IDE) or 2 (Script).
If the following setup worked well, the you should have now in C:\SikuliX:

option 1:
sikuli-ide.jar
runIDE.cmd (follow-up of sikuli-ide.bat/cmd)

option 2:
sikuli-script.jar
runScript.jar  (follow-up of sikuli-script.bat/cmd)

runIDE.cmd as well as runScript.cmd can be used to run scripts (use
option -h to get help about the possible parameters).

runIDE.cmd without parameters will start the IDE.
