my information is based on this xlrd:
https://pypi.python.org/pypi/xlrd/0.9.2

which is the successor of what I know from the past as xlrd 0.7.x

This is what we are referencing to be used with Sikuli and it contains
nice docs and examples in the package's folder xlrd.

How to use it you have to find your way on your own or with help from
the net - I never used it ;-)
