sorry for the inconvenience, but the docs you refer to are on the level
of RC3.
With 1.0.1 things are a bit more comfortable (and even more comfortable with 1.1.0):

When using Eclipse/PyDev, you are running the contained .py directly. So
just use the Eclipse project settings to add runtime parameters (just
yours for the script as with Sikuli IDE run after the --) and they
should be populated to sys.argv
