Re: [Question #258457]: future development of sikuli
Question #258457 on Sikuli changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/sikuli/+question/258457
Status: Open => Answered
RaiMan proposed the following answer:
Due to some other private priorities, I have again minimized my SikuliX
activities.
I guess this year I will only publish the final 1.1.0, revise the docs
and have it on MavenCentral (sikulixapi.jar).
With 1.2 I will start in January.
I will revise the wording in the different places the next days.
these are some topics:
- completely get rid of any native C++ code (OpenCV, Tesseract, App support, …), everything in Java
- revise the text/OCR feature based on Tess4J with better control for "all" available Tess 3.0 options
- revise the screenshot handling, make it a separate small app, so it can be used alongside with other IDE's and add basic image optimization, add some basic recording
- support for image groups (image sets for different environments, that can be switched)
- revise mouse and keyboard usage, be able to listen to mouse and keyboard
- revise the preferences and make it configurable by option/preferences files
- consolidate the remote support
any ideas?
