[Bug 1408675] Re: [1.0.1] Install Sikuli to work with Java JRE 8 by default --- fixed in 1.1.0
If you want to exactly control the used Java version with 1.0.1, then you have to use
<path-to-the-wanted-java.exe> -jar whatever.jar
or modify the related command scripts.
I will revise the command scripts to "know" Java 8 too.
** Summary changed:
- Install Sikuli to work with Java JRE 8 by default

Title:
[1.0.1] Install Sikuli to work with Java JRE 8 by default --- fixed in
1.1.0
Status in Sikuli:
In Progress
Bug description:
I am running on a Windows 7 64 Virtual Machine. Sikuli version 1.0.1
When I have Java JRE 7 installed, and then install Sikuli, the install
works without intervention, and I can start coding right away.
If I have Java JRE 8 installed, and then install Sikuli, the install
can't find the default Java install location, and it asks me to set
the JAVA_HOME variable. I just went back to the java 7 install instead
of getting Sikuli and Java 8 to talk.
