RaiMan proposed the following answer:
Pathnames containing utf-8 encoded characters still make problems in
various features of Sikuli.

This problem will probably only be solved in version 2.

So if it does not work, then you have to either use pathnames that work
or use other methods to achieve what you want (e.g run from command line
and use the start command to start your app before starting the script)
