RaiMan proposed the following answer:
SikuliX 1.1.0 integrates with Jython 2.7, which is compatible to Python
language level 2.7 including the standard Python modules. On top it is
possible to use any external Python module (written for max 2.7), that
is completely written in Python (does not depend on any C-based stuff).

So, since IMHO sending mails is a standard feature of Python, it is
worth to follow my suggestion.
