[Question #277290]: Best practice for detection if automated app has crashed?

As I am (test-) automating an app on OS X, I wonder what the best way to detect an application crash is, as it doesn't show up in the log. The app is started normally using app.Open(). I could of course check if a "Problem report" window appears, but i'd like a bit more info than that. Perhaps by using run() instead?
