Java 8 is surely not a problem.

Running on Linux is always special with respect to the needed native
stuff, that is not bundled or not compatible with what you have
installed.

Running setup the way you do it on Linux is not tested at all and I am
sorry to say, that I have to leave you alone with that (no time to dive
into).

Since it seems to be some problem with the export of the native stuff,
you might purge the app data folder (the setup work folder) and start
again clean. may be that helps.
