OK, I think I got it figured out finally :-)

If I run

                  runsikulix.cmd -r c:\temp\sikx.sikuli

then it loads my script and runs it fine as intended.

I guess in this context, runsikulix.cmd must be the functional
equivalent of sikuli-ide.bat which all the documentation mentions.

Sorry for the newbie confusion & thanks again.  Onward to bigger &
better things.........
