what speaks against using the installer?

This is the current way to get SikuliX setup for the different platforms with one setup jar.
There is no zipped package ready for your system.

  Sikuli Stops abruptly !! --- outdated Sikuli version

Status in Sikuli:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  I'm not able to do anything with downloaded sikuli(zip version). Its
  getting stopped/shut down whenever I click anywhere on the screen.
  Please help !

  Using version  : Sikuli-r930-win32
