Not really a feature in version 1.1.x.

Better support for these cases will be available in version 2 (does not
help you now ;-)

Currently the only safe solution is to have different image sets for
each different environment and use the image path feature to switch
image sets according to the current situation.

In version 1.1.1 the class Image has a resize() method, that can be used
to create a resized version of an Image with a given decimal factor ...
but might not be the way to get out of the trap for a non-coder ;-)
