I figured the issue by myself. Since on mac machine the screenshot image1.png is not Actual Size by default when it is opened, when I took the image2.png from it using sikuli IDE the base image size was wrong. I did the following and the above code works. 
1. open image1.png
2. go to View->Actual Size
3. take image2.png from image1.png using sikuli IDE.
