Manfred Hampl proposed the following answer:
Do what the error message tells:

Perform a full file system check on the sda6 partition.

You have to boot an Ubuntu installer on a bootable hard disk or DVD in
the "Try Ubuntu without installing" mode and run the fsck command (with
appropriate parameters).
