Just installed sikulix 1.1.1-8 from Synaptic in Ubuntu 18.04 and am getting the same error message:
[error] RunTimeINIT: Java version not detected (using 7): 10.0.1+10-Ubuntu-3ubuntu1
java ?7?-64 version 10.0.1+10-Ubuntu-3ubuntu1 vm 10.0.1+10-Ubuntu-3ubuntu1 class 54.0 arch amd64

Is there an easy way to install 1.1.3?

BTW, here is the output of java -version:
openjdk version "10.0.1" 2018-04-17
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 10.0.1+10-Ubuntu-3ubuntu1)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 10.0.1+10-Ubuntu-3ubuntu1, mixed mode)

  Not a huge deal in that I can install java 9 to get it rolling again,
  just a heads up.
