RaiMan proposed the following answer:
Until a few days before today, you would have had to either change the
settings or use a different image set for each resolution.

The latest nightly 1.1.3 has a new feature, that might help if your environment fits (you have to check):
http://sikulix-2014.readthedocs.io/en/latest/scripting.html#Settings.AlwaysResize

The caveat: I am rather sure, that the SikuliLibrary does not yet uses
1.1.3.
