For 2.0.5+ Java 11 or Java 17 (any LTS version 11+) are the best
choices, if you want me to do any tests or replicate a bug.

The source code of 2.0.5+ will be based on the feature set of Java 11
(at least the next 2 years)

About the monitor setup problem: I did not have the time to test this very special case.
You might check with the 2.0.6 snapshot version.
