[Bug 748658] Re: simple-scan crashes on startup with a buffer overflow
So this happens before you any interaction with the program, right?
Do you have a scanner attached? Does it happen regardless if the scanner is attached/not attached?

Bug description:
On Ubuntu 10.04, the application is drawn then it crashes with a
buffer overflow.
simple-scan --debug >simple-scan.log returns :

** (simple-scan:4434): DEBUG: Processing request

This machine just got upgraded from 9.10 to 10.04. Long ago, it has
been upgraded from 9.04 to 9.10. The original installation is 9.04.
