[Bug 587290] Re: simple scan crashes on HP PSC1210xi
could you try and not crop it? then try and not save it? then try and
not go to document/new? then all combinations thereof? i want to know if
it can be traced down to fewer operations...

Title:
simple scan crashes on HP PSC1210xi
Status in Simple Scan:
Incomplete
Bug description:
I'm having this reproducible error where Simple Scan will close.
Computer: Toshiba Satellite M305-S4910
Edition: Linux Mint 9 (Isadora) x64 Edition
Scanner: HP PSC-1210xi all-in-one
When I open Simple Scan, I go to Document/Preferences and set the
photo resolution to 1200 dpi. Then I put a picture on the flatbed and
close it. Then I hit the "scan" button on Simple Scan. When the
picture is all scanned - but before it gets finished all the way - I
hit the "stop" button on Simple Scan. Then I crop the picture, save
it, go to Document/New. The page on the screen blanks out, and I put a
new photo on the flatbed. Then I hit "scan" on Simple Scan again. Most
of the time, the program will just disappear, and I have to restart it
and re-set the photo resolution before continuing.
And that is my bug report.
