I like this idea. The wording needs a bit of work though.

Instead of

Vim-tiny does not provide an application launcher, however, it does
    include the following executables:

        /usr/bin/vim.tiny

I suggest

This program is run from a terminal: /usr/bin/vim.tiny

I also suggest limiting this only to packages that have, say, six or
fewer executables.

These programs are run from a terminal: apport-cli, apport-unpack,
    apport-bug, apport-collect, ubuntu-bug

That way we avoid the case where the coreutils executable list swamps
the description.

As a general point, anywhere you are tempted to capitalize the first
letter of a package name, please treat that as a clue that you should be
either using either the title or short name instead
<https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SoftwareCenter#software-title>, or redesigning
to avoid using any identifier at all.

Thanks
