To compile it, 

#echo obj-m := nvidia_bl.o >Makefile
#make -C /usr/src/linux-2.6.31/ M=`pwd` modules
#cp nvidia_bl.ko lib/modules/2.6.31/kernel/drivers/video/backlight/
