I just did a mistake in copying the /etc/init/switch-x-to.conf file.
I changed:
gc=nvidia; lspci|grep -qs nvidia || gc=intel
to:
gc=nvidia; lspci|grep -qs nVidia || gc=intel

Yes i'm still using grub2 but the leds doesn't work.

switch-x-to stop/waiting
nvidiasettings stop/waiting

 I'll try to send you all the debug files when the sys hangs.
