No, look in "man dkms":

       DEST_MODULE_LOCATION[#]= ... is used for finding
original_modules.  This is a required directive,...

The new module will be installed in /updates/dkms/
(tested)

Yes, try if it works (i didn't yet), if yes, may be better to set
PACKAGE_NAME="sony-laptop-zseries"
