Re: VPCZ1190X Speed mode install working! (So far)

 

I used this link : http://marcansoft.com/uploads/insydehacks/freedos_flashit.img.bz2
then I've unbzipped it
then : dd if=freedos_flashit.img of=/dev/sdb
assuming /dev/sdb is where my usb key is (warning : with this command, anything on /dev/sdb will be lost)

but now I've another problem : Invalid VSS signature
And I can't find $VSS in my dump.

Oh this is great! Worked just fine (had the same BIOS version as in the post). The first post is supposed to be further along the thread, and references "previous" posts that are actually much deeper in the thread (mostly, looking for the location of the flashit utility).

Thanks for the heads up on this hack.
